Springfield Primary Election, Capodice (D) to Face Incumbent Bujnowski (R) in November

The Candidates Chris Capodice (D) and Geri Bujnowski (R)

SPRINGFIELD, NJ - New Jersey's primary election results are in and Chris Capodice got the nod from Springfield's registered Democrats to face incumbent Republican Geri Bujnowski in November.  Both candidates were not challenged and each had one write-in vote against them.

There are more registered democrats in New Jersey and more turned out to vote for the races across the state as well as in Springfield.
Capodice received 764 votes and Bujnowski received 250 votes.  Included the two write-in votes, total votes cast equaled only 12% of the votes cast in the 2016 presidential election.
After the getting the election results, both candidates gave comments.
Committeewoman Bujnowski said, "I want to thank the voters and I am ready to work as hard on the campaign trail as I do every day for the Township."
Candidate Chris Capodice said, "I am honored to give Springfield the best of my talents and passion as we towards a bright and prosperous future."
