SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The weather cooperated and the crowds turned out for a fun filled evening hosted by the Springfield Recreation Department. Set outside the Springfield Municipal building, there were horse-drawn carriage rides, a petting zoo, a band and jungle fun bounce house. In the middle of the 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. program.   Mayor Diane Stampoulos welcomed the crowd and lit the Holiday tree.

Santa had a continuous line of visitors hoping to tell him their wish list. A stilt walking Toy Soldier happily chatted and greeted all comers. Refreshments were provided by Springfield E.M.S.

Springfield H.O.P.E. and Holy Cross Lutheran Church were on hand to accept gifts of coats, non-perishable food and toys.
