Springfield School Superintendent Davino’s Contract Extended for Three Years at Tonight’s Board of Ed Meeting

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – By a vote of the Board of Education, Superintendent Michael A. Davino’s contract was extended for three years beginning July 1, 2017 pending negotiations for a final contract.  The vote was not unanimous with six members voting in favor of the contract extension, two voting against the contract and one abstaining.

Voting for the contract extension were President Robin Cornelison, Scott Donner, Marc Miller, Jacqueline Shanes, Vice President Scott Silverstein and Steven Wolcott.

Voting against the contract were Hector Munoz and Elissa Zylbershlag.

Hilary Turnbull abstained because she is waiting for a lawyer’s ruling on comments she made at Candidates’ Night when she indicated she was against the contract.
