SPRINGFIELD, NJ — This morning, the Township of Springfield will hold a service on the front lawn of Town Hall in remembrance of all the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks on our country 19 years ago.

The ceremony will be a silent event where members of the Emergency Services will salute the flag at 8:46 a.m. and again at 9:03 a.m. Additionally, a bell will be tolled twice in honor of Springfield residents Lee Adler and JoAnn L Heltibridle who perished at the World Trade Center.

After the service a wreath will be presented in their memory at Patriot Park.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the township requests that residents coming to the service wear masks and practice proper social distancing measures.
