Springfield Township Committeewoman Geri Bujnowski Files to be GOP Candidate

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Springfield Township Committeewoman Geri Bujnowski filed to run in the coming June primary to be the Republican candidate for the seat she currently holds.  She was appointed to the position by the Springfield Republican Party when then Township Committeeman Ziad Shehady gave up his seat to become Township Administrator.

Geri is a resident of Springfield for nearly 25 years.  She said, “I am proud of our town and how things have been progressing the last few years.”

She noted that she, “…has served our town in various capacities over the years, but in October, I had the opportunity to serve in a unique role - as a member of the Township Committee.  The 6 months in that role have been an honor and an extremely enlightening experience.  I am proud of the work I have put in to the job, especially on the 2017 budget.”

Then she added, “There are a number of projects I have been involved in recently; specifically, the pool and the downtown projects.” 

She ended with, “I would like residents to know what my colleagues and municipal employees have quickly learned about me; that I am a dedicated Committee member and a fierce advocate for the taxpayer.”
