SPRINGFIELD, NJ – On Monday, the Annual Mayor’s Day Golf Outing at Baltusrol occurs.  The outing provides a substantial sum to the Jonathan Dayton High School Scholarship Fund. Thirty deserving seniors will each receive $1,000 to help toward their formal education next June.

For many Springfield families, this week is the end of the summer vacation and time to get ready for school.  Many students participating in the various fall athletic programs have already spent many days practicing.  For Jonathan Dayton girls volleyball and girls soccer, the seasons begin this week.

On Sunday August 29, the Community Pool will host its last Float Night of the season.
