Springfield's Calendar for Week of July 2: Fourth of July Festivities at Meisel Avenue Park and the Community Pool

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – On Wednesday, Springfield will hold its annual July 4th Celebration.  Gates open at 5:00 p.m. at Meisel Avenue Park.

There will be a concert featuring the 1910 Fruitgum Co. starting at 8:00 p.m. From the group's website - Today, the group is back, with original founding member Frank Jeckell along with Mick Mansueto, and going strong. We perform our hit records along with the very best cover tunes from the 60's from acts such as The Turtles, The Buckinghams, The Beach Boys, The Grass Roots, B. J. Thomas, The Monkees, The British Invasion and a host of other acts.

The will be fireworks.  There will also be a petting zoo, pony rides, a trackless train, a moonwalk and a waterslide.  Food and drinks will be available.

Woman Struck by Car in Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot Dies

Bridgewater, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.

Marion Kelley, 62, was struck by a vehicle while walking in lot four near the Macy's merchandise pick up area at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
