SPRINGFIELD, NJ – It was not their best effort of the year, but it was good enough for the Dayton coed varsity bowling team to come away with a 5-2 victory Wednesday over Plainfield High School.  That victory gives them a perfect 13-0 record for the regular season.

In the first game, Dayton beat Plainfield 930 to 759.  Plainfield rebounded to win the second game 784 to 770 but could not sustain the momentum and in the third game Dayton came to win 790 to 716.  For the match, Dayton’s total of 2,490 exceeded Plainfield’s total of 2,259.

Dayton was led by junior Evan Weinberg with 628 for the three games.  Senior Captain Jon Pannullo added 416 followed by junior Scott Maran’s 493 and senior Skyla Johnson’s 463.  Junior Sean Martin bowled two games and contributed 273.  Senior Matthew Silva bowled 116 in the third game of the match.
