Springfield’s Dayton Golf Finishes at .500 with Win over Roselle Park

KENILWORTH, NJ – The Jonathan Dayton Bulldogs beat the Roselle Park Panthers 171-228 at par 33 Galloping Hill Learning Center Monday to end the season 8-8.

Leading the Bulldogs was senior Scott Maran who shot a 40.  Maran has been a part of the golf team for the last three years.  It was one of three sports he played at Dayton.  The others being soccer and bowling.  In his last outing for the Bulldogs he shot the lowest score of his career.

Also playing his last match as a Bulldog was senior Alex Sirotkin, a two-year member of the golf team.  He shot a 48, his second lowest round of the year.  Sirotkin was also a member of the hockey team.

Rounding out the top four were freshman Aiden Forys and Jeremy Greiss with 43s, and sophomore Matt Zeiman with a 45.

Shooting a 47 were junior Sarah Rodrick and freshman Brett Netkin.

This season there were more weather interruptions and harsher conditions.  The Bulldogs brought in a lot of new players this year and have a foundation on to build on in the future. is Springfield’s free daily news source.
