SPRINGFIELD, NJ – A week from Wednesday, Springfield will hold its annual July 4th Celebration. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. at Meisel Avenue Park.
There will be a concert featuring the 1910 Fruitgum Co. starting at 8:00 p.m. From the group's website - Today, the group is back, with original founding member Frank Jeckell along with Mick Mansueto, and going strong. We perform our hit records along with the very best cover tunes from the 60's from acts such as The Turtles, The Buckinghams, The Beach Boys, The Grass Roots, B. J. Thomas, The Monkees, The British Invasion and a host of other acts.
The will be fireworks. There will also be a petting zoo, pony rides, a trackless train, a moonwalk and a waterslide. Food and drinks will be available.
