St. James the Apostle Festival Rolls Into Springfield May 2

SPRINGFIELD, NJ—One of the highlights of Spring in Springfield Township is the annual Parish Festival on the grounds of St. James the Apostle School on South Springfield Avenue.

This year’s festival will take off on 6pm on Tuesday, May 2, and continue from Wednesday through Friday, May 3 through 5 from 6 to 10 pm and Saturday, May 6, from 2 to 10 pm. The festival again will feature fun for all ages, including:

  • A Tin Can Auction during all festival hours from Tuesday through Saturday
  • 50/50 Drawings throughout the festival
  • A Super Prize Drawing on Saturday night Rides for the youngsters (including Bracelet Nights, May 2-4 from 6 to 10 pm and May 6 from 2 to 6pm—purchase a $25 ticket and ride all evening)
  • Food from burgers to hot dogs to desserts and Italian dishes.

This year, however, there will be added attractions—a money wheel, and for the adults—a Beer Truck (For those 21 years of age and older who can prove it with appropriate identification)..

All residents of Springfield and surrounding communities are invited to join in the fun and support the worthwhile activities of St. James Parish and St. James the Apostle Elementary School, one of the top educational institutions in Union County.
