SPRINGFIELD, NJ - You may have met intern Patrick Ragazzo in Springfield this summer signing residents up for e-news as well as covering stories. Patrick’s last day was Friday and we wish him well as he heads back to college in Maryland. If you are a regular reader of TAP you may have seen the bylines of Lou Monaco and Bob Faszczewski, two long time residents of Springfield.

Lou has been covering high school sports and an occasional piece of interest to the community for TAP. He has worked for a variety of sports media outlets, including SportsTicker, ESPN, ESPN the Magazine, Daily Racing Form, Dorf Feature Service, NJ.com. His freelance sports writing in addition to Tapinto Springfield has been in various newspapers and online sites across the country.

Lou is married to Christine and has been a resident of Springfield for 43 years. His two children Louis and Nicole will be a senior and freshman at Jonathan Dayton High School this year, respectively.

Bob Faszczewski has been doing municipal reporting since 1978—fulltime for a number of print “weeklies.” In Union and Essex County—and for the last eight years for The Alternative Press. (TAPinto.net) in many surrounding towns. He is on the board of the Editorial Freelance Association.  Bob is married and has lived in Springfield for decades. He will be covering the Board of Education and the Board of Health for TAPinto Springfield.
