The Historic Cannon Ball House in Springfield will Open to Visitors on June 25

SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Springfield’s Historic Cannon Ball House (CBH), located at 126 Morris Ave., will be holding an open house on June 25 to commemorate the 237th anniversary of the Battle of Springfield.

This conflict was the final major battle of the Revolutionary War to be fought in the northern colonies. Many artifacts from this occurrence are on display, including the missile that gave the structure its name.

In addition, a variety of exhibits on the second floor will also mark the centennial of America’s entry into World War One. These include the display of political cartoons by the artist Louis Raemaekers as well as artifacts from WWI that have ties to Springfield.

House Hours:  Sunday, June 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

House Admission: $2 for adults and free for children 12 and under.

Woman Struck by Car in Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot Dies

Bridgewater, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.

Marion Kelley, 62, was struck by a vehicle while walking in lot four near the Macy's merchandise pick up area at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
