SPRINGFIELD, NJ – This week includes the second Springfield Summer Thursday Night Concert and the band is 94 Proof.  Their website says “We are a rock and roll cover band from Northern New Jersey.  We play a wide variety of songs you’ll recognize, and some you may not.  But we know you’ll enjoy them all.” 

There are two board meetings scheduled on Wednesday starting with a  Board of Health Meeting and then a Planning Board Meeting. 

The Springfield Free Public Library offers a full slate of activities including Drums from Around the World on Monday, the Summer International Film Festival showing on Thursday, and a special musical revue at 11:00 a.m. Saturday

7:00 p.m.  Drums from Around the World – from Library’s website: Kids will experience basic rhythms and drum as a group. Drumming is a non-verbal activity that enhances fine motor skills and self-expression, reducing tension, anxiety and stress, creating a connection in a group dynamic without words. Bottom line is... everybody loves to drum! Bring your own drum if you like. Parents welcome. Ideal for ages 6-11. Sorry, ages 5 and under not admitted.
