SPRINGFIELD, NJ – This week features the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, the Library’s introduction of the new offerings available because it became the 31st member of a library consortium, just a few sport events, an awards dinner, expanded recycling Saturday and many events at the library.

The Springfield Free Public Library is proud to become the 31st member of the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium and will “go live" with the new system on June 1. The library has scheduled a series of 15 minute demonstrations so that members of the public can learn about the benefits of being part of a library consortium

7:00 – 11:00 A.M. Expanded Recycling Drop-off at the Community Pool

Drop-off for Electronics (monitors, TVs, computers, cell phones), Metals (appliances, grills, stoves, fencing), and Vegetative Yard Waste (leaves, grass, branches) DPW will assist residents place the items in dumpsters Proof of Springfield residency/ID required No commercial enterprises allowed

Sunday – June 4

Springfield Free Public Library Programs

As of March 5, the library reopened from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.  It will remain open on Sundays through May 28.  Sunday hours will resume again October 1 and continue through December 17.
