Tour Six Local Gardens, Dine, and Benefit Historic Committee During Mountainside Garden Tour

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – Enjoy a tour of six stunning gardens and lunch at the Publick House on Saturday, June 9, while benefiting the Mountainside Restoration Committee.

The Mountainside Garden Tour, the third Biennial Tour of its kind, has drawn an enthusiastic crowd in the the past. Tour gardens between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., in any order, and take advantage of a special Garden Tour lunch at the Publick House restaurant which will be open only for tour guests from 12-4 p.m.  Guests can take a quick or leisurely tour of the gardens and fit in lunch when convenient. A rain date of June 10 is planned.

Each of the six gardens is specifically themed and will feature uniquely decorated tablescapes, raffles, a boutique, special displays and refreshments. These homeowners are meticulous about their yards and have worked very hard to assure the grounds are at their peak of loveliness for this tour. Guests will see a: Georgian Pond Garden; Wood’s Edge Garden featuring a basket raffle; Cottage Garden featuring chicken bingo; Southwest Contemporary Garden featuring a garden boutique; the Step-Up Garden. and a Pool Party Garden.

Advance tickets for Mountainside’s Garden Tour are $45 for Tour & Lunch or $30 for Tour Only and can be purchased online at (tickets for late online purchases can be picked up on tour day); or at Christoffers Flower & Gift Shop at 860 Mountain Ave., in Mountainside.  Limited tickets will also be sold on the day of the tour at each Garden Tour location for $35 for tour and $15 for lunch. Garden locations will be made available to ticket holders.

Proceeds from the tour and lunch will be used by the Mountainside Restoration Committee for restoration and maintenance of the historic Hetfield and Levi Cory houses.  The Mountainside Restoration Committee (aka, Mountainside Historic Committee) is a 501(c)(3) registered not-for-profit committee of volunteers whose purpose is to restore and maintain the Deacon Andrew Hetfield and Levi Cory Houses and collect and save historic information and items from destruction.  For further information, please call 908-789-9420; or, go to:
