Bloomfield, NJ November 16, 2016:  The New Jersey State Baseball Umpire Association was founded in 1936 and is now 81 Years Old. The association consists of a dedicated group of men and women officials who are committed to the improvement of officiating Baseball and Softball games in our service area. We currently service Schools in Essex, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Union Counties for High School Baseball and Softball conferences.

The NJSBUA is over 500 members strong, we are actively recruiting man and women to increase both our ranks and ability to serve the schools and programs in our area.

Are you tired of sitting on the sideline and yelling "Hey Ump"? Well now is your chance to be that Umpire. The New Jersey State Baseball Umpire Association is now accepting applications for the 2017 cadet class. The Umpire class will be held at Bloomfield High School on Wednesday Nights starting the January 2017.

You will be instructed on High School Federation Baseball/Softball rules and mechanics. At the conclusion of the class we will be offering the NJ State Certification test to become a Certified Baseball and or Softball Carded umpire.

Woman Struck by Car in Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot Dies

Bridgewater, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.

Marion Kelley, 62, was struck by a vehicle while walking in lot four near the Macy's merchandise pick up area at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
