Union County College’s Drama Club to Present “Almost, Maine”

CRANFORD – Union County College’s Drama Club will present the play “Almost, Maine” on Thurs., Nov. 9, and Fri., Nov. 10, 2017, in the Roy Smith Theater at the College’s Cranford campus. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

“Almost, Maine,” written by John Cariani and first produced in 2004, is a series of nine vignettes about life and love. As described on dramatists.com, “On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night's dream.”

The members of the College’s Drama Club will present this production. The cast includes the following Union students: Kaitlin Young-Cranford; Kevin Angulo and Sophia Fiorito-Elizabeth; Jordan Brown-Union; Rosario Cardona-Plainfield; Edward Castelan-Roselle Park; Armando Cuadro-Bayonne; Louismichel Gaudin-Roselle; LaQuan Harris and Valerie Sanchez-Linden; Morgan Minatee-West Orange; and David Rei-Kenilworth. Michael Hagerty, Academic Specialist for Music and Theater Arts, is the advisor to the Drama Club.
