MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ - Clark’s Noelle Martz finished with a six-over-par 77 to lead eight New Jersey golfers in a Sectional Qualifying tournament for the 2017 US Women's Amateur Championship Wednesday morning at Forsgate Country Club (Banks Course) in Monroe Township, New Jersey.

A field of 41 golfers played 18 holes each in hopes of securing four coveted spots (in addition to two alternates) to the US Women’s Amateur Championship, to be held at San Diego Country Club, in Chula Vista, California on August 7-13.

Brynn Walker of St. Davids, Pennsylvania finished as top medalist with a 1-over-par 72 to advance, along with Ina Kim of New York (+4, 75), Alix Lowe of Farmingdale, New York (+4, 75), and Valerie Tanquay of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada (+5, 76), who secured the fourth and final spot in a three-way playoff.

Anina Ku of Basking Ridge finished with a seven-over-par 78) and Lebanon’s Megan McLean, finished with an eight-over-par 79 to round out the top three Jersey scores.

The Banks Course played as a 6,338-yard, par-71 layout.
