Summit Symphony Concert

“Greetings from Vienna”

The Summit Symphony Orchestra begins its 2018-19 season, celebrating 80 years of free concerts in Summit, on Sunday, November 11 at 2:00pm, at the Summit Middle School (not the High School) on the corner of Morris and Summit Ave., in Summit. The concert, labeled “Greetings from Vienna” will include music by Strauss, Brahms and Waldteufel. Admission to all Summit Symphony concerts is free. 

Music Director Michael Avagliano will lead the Symphony, performing waltzes, polkas and marches by Johannes Strauss Jr., including the Overture to die Fledermaus, the Skaters Waltz by Waldteufel, and two of the Hungarian Dances by Brahms. 

The Summit Symphony has been providing free orchestral concerts for the Summit area since 1938. Their 2018-19 season will include 3 performances, on November 11, March 17 and May 19.
