SPRINGFIELD, NJ - On Feb. 24, 1969, the Springfield Public Library opened its doors to the public for the first time at the current location. Exactly 50 years later, the celebration surrounding the silver anniversary kicked up a gear with a concert.

In order to stick with the theme of the 1960s, attendees could also choose to dress in costume for the afternoon. With the music of the Odessa Klezmer Band backing the day, sweets and cake were served for guests who attended.
