SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Parents can bring their young children out to the Springfield Public Library for a family-friendly performance this Wednesday.

July 24 at 10:30 a.m., the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company will visit the library for a performance of "My Mother the Astronaut," a space-themed, interactive play.

The play centers around Aquarius, a young girl whose mom is an astronaut. Aquarius and her mother go to NASA for take your child to work day. Aquarius gets to visit Mission Control where she meets scientists and engineers who show her what they do. Her imagination blasts off and she dreams of incredible journeys through the cosmos.

The performance is suitable for children and families. No registration is required. The program is funded by The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library.
