SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The annual summer concert series rolled on in Springfield Thursday night as local band 94 proof brought the music to the assembled crowd.
Playing mostly classic rock, with a couple of more current songs sprinkled in, the band played to an audience of almost 50 people on the front lawn of the Springfield Municipal Building.
The concert spanned two hours, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Adam Napell, the lead singer of 94 Proof had never been at a Springfield show before, but the band played in town last year.
"It's a great time," Napell said. "Any time you get a chance to get outside in front of a nice group of people and it's very relaxed and laid back, it's a blast. And We're happy to be invited to do it."
The weather also cooperated too, with temperatures sitting comfortably in the 70s. Napell noted that the weather was also a major help
"if this was last night, it wouldn't have happened. So we're very pleased that god cooperated with us tonight," Napell added with a laugh.
The concert series continues next Friday, Aug. 8 with Full Disclosure.
