SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The PrimoHoagies shop on Route 22 is under new management. As part of the grand re-opening ceremonies for the store, new franchisee Chris Amico was joined by PrimoHoagies CEO Rocco Fiorentino and Vice President of Operations for Franchising Eric Bonner for a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Along with PrimoHoagies, Amico also owns Capital Motor Cars, a car brokerage business located in town.

Springfield had a presence at the event. Business Improvement District co-chair Mike Scalera was in attendance, and he was joined by the town's police chief and acting township administrator John Cook.

Speaking about the business advantages of Springfield, Amico said that it was a market with a lot of customers, and that he looked forward to bringing a high-quality food product to that market.

"It's a very dense market," Amico said. "A lot of people like to come to this area, wether it's shopping for a car or shopping for electronics down at Best Buy, it's a very dense area. And it's a great market to serve a great product. Primo is a company that is based on quality products, and we definitely differentiate ourselves in many different ways, with fresh bread, freshly sliced cold cuts, and I think that we'll bring the best lunch you possibly could have to the area."

For the CEO Fiorentino, Amico was the perfect choice to take over operations for the Springfield shop. He said that Amico was going to be a vital partner in the northern expansion of the business.

"Chris Amico is our newest franchisee for the north jersey market, and Chris is an incredible entrepreneur. [We] look forward to his leadership in building this store and additional stores in the Mahwah and Paramus markets as well."

Fiorentino added, "We're pretty proud to finally have our product up here in a big way. Chris is looking forward to doing an amazing job with the county and Springfield township, and I look forward to meeting a lot of new customers and some of the old customers as well."

To mark the festivities, PrimoHoagies also gave away sandwiches to the first 100 customers through the door this morning and sold Primo sized sandwiches for a discounted price all day.
