SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The Township of Springfield is beginning work on the Salter Street construction project this week.

Salter Street runs behind James Caldwell Elementary School and is reachable by Lyons Place, Rose Avenue and Brook and Keeler Streets. Salter Street is also the entry point for Dayton Court.

The project will consist of replacement for the concrete and granite curbing and driveway aprons at some locations on the street. Once the work starts on a specific apron and curbing residents who live in that section will not be able to access their driveway for two to three hours to allow time for the concrete to set.

In the mean time, residents who live on Salter Street may park their vehicle on a side street or keep their vehicle parked in their driveway until such time.

Any residents with questions or concerns can call the Engineering Department at (973) 912-2221.
