SPRINGFIELD, NJ - As a kick off to the holiday season, Springfield held their holiday celebration and tree lighting on the front lawn of Springfield Town Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 5. Despite the cold temperatures, a good crowd turned up for the games, events and the chance to take pictures with Santa Claus and Elsa from Frozen.

The event kicked off the holiday season and brought several notable town residents out to celebrate, including the Mayor Richard Huber, several members of the Township Committee, and members of the Springfield Business Imporvement District (BID) and Rotary Club.

After the tree was lit and Santa made his appearance, members of the Springfield Fire Department and First Aid Squad were on hand to give out free donuts, popcorn and hot chocolate.
