SPRINGFIELD, NJ - In a post on the town website, Springfield Township announced that one construction project would be getting underway, as another project continues.

On Colonial Terrace, initial milling work is scheduled to start on or about Wednesday, Aug. 21, weather permitting. After the milling has been completed, the paving work is scheduled to begin the following day.

Along with colonial terrace, phase two work on Salter Street and Brook Street will continue as well.

Initial milling work on the rest of Salter Street and all of Brook Street was scheduled to start on or about Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, weather permitting.  After the completion of milling, the paving work is scheduled to begin today, weather permitting. 

During paving, the street will be closed to traffic.  Residents who wish to use their vehicle may park it on an adjacent street. 

As the town noted, any residents who have a question or a concern with the work being done by the contractor should not discuss it with the contractor’s employees but should call the Engineering Department at 973-912-2221.
