SPRINGFIELD, NJ - A new tradition will take to the sky alongside the annual Easter egg hunt, as Springfield's inaugural kite festival soars off the ground.

The event will take place in Chisholm Park today from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The annual Easter Egg Hunt will kick off at 11:30 a.m. followed by the kite festival. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kites, and prizes will be awarded to the participants with the most creative kite.

Entertainment at the festival will include a DJ, bounce houses, a balloonist, face painting, food trucks, a sports clinic, pictures with the Easter bunny and more.

In the event of rain, the festival will move indoors to the community center building.
