SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Boys and Ghouls of every age can still have some holiday fun this year at the Springfield Rec Department's Halloween Spooktacular.

The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., outside at Chisholm Park (100 South Springfield Avenue). The rain date for the event is the following day, Sunday, Oct. 25. Physical distancing, required face masks, and outdoor gathering limits will be enforced.

Children are invited to dress up and show off their scariest and most original costumes at the annual Costume Contest and stay for the spooky and fun Halloween Magic Show by Brian Richards. Activities will include a new photo ring roamer who will be on hand to photograph everyone and will send pictures to people for posting on social media or sharing with their families. In addition, plenty of free Red Ribbon Week goodies will be given away.
