SPRINGFIELD, NJ — In an update to township residents, Springfield Mayor Chris Capodice updated township residents with important information on the COVID-19 pandemic locally.

As of Capodice's message on Friday, Springfield had five new cases of COVID-19, totaling 20 positive tests and 1 death since the first cases were found.

In total, Union County has 48 new cases of COVID-19, for a grand total of 519 positive tests and 3 deaths. The State of New Jersey currently has 1,982 new cases of COVID-19 and 27 new deaths, bringing the state total number to 8,525 positive tests, and 108 COVID-19 related deaths.
