SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Another day brings another slate of no new COVID-19 cases for Springfield, marking over a week with no increase.

As of yesterday's email from mayor Christopher Capodice, Springfield had no new cases of COVID-19 for the eighth day, keeping the town's total at 213 positive tests and 16 deaths.

Overall, Union County had 175 new cases of COVID-19, and 28 new deaths, totaling 13,781 positive tests and 829 deaths. The State of New Jersey had 1,827 new cases of COVID-19 and 254 new deaths, bringing the state total number to 131,890 positive tests, and 8,801 COVID-19 related deaths.
