SPRINGFIELD, NJ – At Jonathan Dayton High School’s Senior Awards Night many of the scholarships and awards given were for athletic achievement.  Some awards recognized academic and athletic achievement and they will be highlighted in another article. 

In athletics, Dayton seniors enjoyed many some successes and set many good examples to be followed in the years to come.

The Babe Ruth Foundation Sportsmanship Award was given to Arianna DeMartino and Matthew Pavick.

The U.S. Marine Distinguished Athlete Award went to Charles Buckley.

The Dayton Excellence in Athletics Award was given to Daniel Griess and Marinna Kwinta.

The Brian Piccolo Award was given to Mia Furci and Jonathan Pannullo.

The Jonathan Dayton Outstanding Athlete Awards were given to Karly Fitzpatrick and Joseph Kastner.

Baltusrol Golf Club Scholarships were  awarded to Adam Berkowitz, Jordyn Cappa, Joshua Damast, Karly Fitzpatrick, Amanda Gabriel, Daniel Griess, Emily Hochreiner, Richard Mahoney, and Jacob Zeiman.

Soccer Club of Springfield Scholar Athlete Awards were given to Karly Fitzpatrick and Lee Roth.

Soccer Boy’s Senior Scholarship awarded to Mark Gragg, Jared Horowitz, Derrick Lobo, Jose Mejia, Esteban Mena, Christopher Montes, Aroniaina Randriamanana, Lee Roth and Nicholas Ulizio.

Bulldog Gridiron Club Scholarship was awarded to Joseph Kastner.

The Springfield Basketball Association Scholarships were awarded to Emma Ares for Dayton Girl’s Basketball and Joseph Kastner for Dayton Boy’s Basketball.

Springfield Girl’s Softball Parent’s Organization Scholarships were awarded to Arianna DeMartino, Karly Fitzpatrick and Marinna Kwinta.

Springfield NJ Baseball League Scholarships were awarded to John Holland, Joseph Kastner, Anthony Monguso, James Patania and Brian Schramm.
