SPRINGFIELD, NJ - In the most recent Niche.com rankings, the Springfield School District was honored as one of the best in the best school districts in America.
In honor of that recognition, all five principals in the district were celebrated at Monday's board of education (BOE) meeting, and presented with plaques to hang in their schools as recognition for the staff that made it possible to receive the commendation.
After the meeting BOE President Scott Silverstein spoke with TAPinto and said that the work all the staff in the districts does is top-notch, and that it is nice to be rewarded by an outside ranking source.
""It's very fulfilling and rewarding for our staff," Silverstein said. "Because they're the ones who come in each and every day and who get the job done...who really lay it all out on the line for the kids in the school community. And to see them recognized, and to see an outside organization validate what our staff's doing here is very gratifying."
Silverstein also said that having the principals there to receive the plaques was major, as the administrators in the district help to oversee the staff.
