SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Thursday, Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m., join the Springfield Rotary Club and Rise Against Hunger for a volunteer food packing drive. Volunteers age six and up are requested to help pack tens of thousands of meals to help feed the hungry and less fortunate. The event will take place at the Chisholm Community Center in Springfield.
Rise against hunger is an organization that works both locally and globally to help solve food insecurity, respond to crisis situations with emergency food donations and give people the tools needed to move forward toward a better food situation. The Springfield Rotary Club is a group of local business leaders who strive to do good in the community for residents and those in the surrounding areas through charitable project.
If you can not make it to the event, but still want to help, a monetary donation will also be accepted. Donations can be made payable to Springfield Rotary Foundation and mailed to post office box 1333, Springfield, NJ 07081.
