SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Here is some of the info Springfield residents will need in advance for the rest of the month:

  • Twice a week garbage collection will continue until Aug. 30. The collection will be on a Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday schedule.  Recycling for the entire township will continue to be on Wednesdays.
  • Electronic Recycling will also continue to be held on the first Saturday of every month at the Pool. The department of public works (DPW) has also added the third Sunday of every month. The hours for both days are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • The farmers market continues every Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. out in front of the Library.
  • Next week, the Palmer Gallery at the Springfield Free Public Library will have a showing and reception. The date of the event is July 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.The Artwork of Wayne Masiello, Springfield Resident will be on display.
  • Springfield Summer Sound Bites is canceled for this afternoon, but the outdoor Concerts on the town hall lawn will resume next week. Each concert goes from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
