SPRINGFIELD, NJ — As part of regularly scheduled road maintenance, the Township of Springfield will be milling and paving starting on Thursday, Oct. 10 and continuing through Friday, Oct. 11, weather permitting.
Roadway milling will begin at 7:00 a.m. and will run through 4:00 p.m. daily on both days. Please see the following schedule:
- Sycamore Terrace — Milling (Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019) / Paving (Friday, Oct. 11, 2019)
- Dogwood Terrace — Milling (Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019) / Paving (Friday, Oct. 11, 2019)
- South Gate — Milling (Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019) / Paving (Friday, Oct. 11, 2019)
According to the post on the town's website, curbside parking will be prohibited within the active work zones but will reopen at the end of each work day.
Residents on the streets being milled and paved will need to remove their cars from their driveway by 7:00 a.m. on the morning the work begins. Additionally, town residents may drive on the street and into their driveway at the end of the day when the work has been completed.
During the milling and paving operations, residents can park their vehicle on a side street, with the police department being notified. Residents who have any questions can call the following number: (973) 912-8483.
