SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Starting with this month's workshop meeting, the Springfield Township Committee is looking to drive dialogue and participation among residents.

The new format for the workshop meetings will begin with today's meeting at 7:00 p.m. in Town Hall. According to a post on the township website, each workshop meeting will introduce an important topic for discussion.

The meeting topic for today's workshop is Ruby Field. At hand is the issue of how to proceed with the trees located at the field. They are in the field of play for baseball games held at the site. Some want to see them removed, while others feel the removal would be an environmental detriment.
