SPRINGFIELD, NJ — With flu season in full swing, the Madison Health Department is offering Springfield residents free flu shots this week, on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

The vaccination clinic will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. As previously mentioned, immunizations are free to all residents who show up, but seniors with a Medicare Part B card who attend are requested to bring it with them.

If possible, residents are asked to wear short sleeves when they come in, to facilitate an easier time during the vaccination. According to the Centers For Disease Control, most flu cases peak between November and May, meaning getting vaccinated now will provide the most coverage.
