MILLBURN, NJ - New Jersey is on the road to legalizing recreational marijuana use. NJ lawmakers have stated it will unlikely be this year when the final vote will occur. According to the New Jersey Marijuana Legalization Act, persons of at least 21 years of age would be able to be in possession of one ounce of marijuana, if passed. Municipalities in NJ would have the ability to opt-out, thus barring the sale and distribution of marijuana.

The Millburn Municipal Alliance Committee invites parents and teens to a discussion of the complext legal issues affecting businesses, schools and local governments led by attorney Ed Purcell and faciliated by Short Hills resident and licensed clinical social worker Nancy Kislin.

The event will be held at the Millburn Free Public Library on Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. Please RSVP to mmacupdates@gmail.com.
