SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Following a trend first seen earlier this week, on Friday afternoon, Springfield reported its second consecutive day with no new cases of COVID-19.

As of yesterday's email, the lack of new cases keeps the town's total at 213 positive tests and 16 deaths.

Overall, Union County has 214 new cases of COVID-19, and 24 new deaths, totaling 12,779 positive tests and 714 deaths.

The State of New Jersey currently has 2,651 new cases of COVID-19 and 311 new deaths, bringing the state total number to 121,190 positive tests, and 7,538 COVID-19 related deaths.
