EWING, NJ – Charges have been brought against David Lamar, a 22 year old from West Windsor, NJ after the head on collision Sunday evening which sent Clark’s Michael Sot, 20 and five others to the hospital with critical injuries.
Police said Lamar was traveling southbound on Pennington Road when his vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines striking Sot’s northbound car head on. According to police there was one passenger in Lamar’s car and six in the other including Sot.
Ewing police have confirmed Lamar was charged with seven counts of assault by auto second degree after an investigation reveled he was operating a motor vehicle while impaired which resulted in a crash causing bodily injuries to others.
The incident remains under investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team and the Ewing Police Department Traffic Bureau.
