SPRINGFIELD, NJ — The following is the Springfield Police Department blotter for the first two weeks of February:

Feb 1 – A 29-year-old Union man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 22.

Feb 4 – A 22-year-old Springfield woman was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of THC and an outstanding warrant out of Springfield as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 22.

Feb 4 – The Motor Vehicle Commission reported a customer presented an altered New Jersey driver’s license. An investigation at the scene resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old Springfield woman, who was charged with tampering with records.

Feb 5 – Officers were detailed to a Mountain Avenue business on a report of a dispute. A 23-year-old Hillside man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Feb 6 – A 22-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and an outstanding warrant out of Allendale as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Morris Avenue.

Feb 7 – On January 31, 2020, Officers were detailed to a Route 22 car dealership on a report of a fraudulent check received for a vehicle purchase. A 30-year-old Neptune woman was charged with theft and fraud as a result of an investigation by Detective Bureau personnel.

Feb 7 – A 55-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, and issued additional summonses including driving while intoxicated within a school zone, and possession of an open container of alcohol as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Morris Avenue.

Feb 9 – Officers were detailed to a Route 22 business on a report of a suspicious male. An investigation at the scene resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old Newark man, who was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

Feb 12 – A 22-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested and charged with multiple counts of theft from the areas of Marion Avenue and Tooker Avenue.

Officers made additional arrests on outstanding warrants out of Watchung, Newark, and West Long Branch.
