SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The following is the Springfield Police blotter for the month of February.

On Feb. 5, Springfield Police were notified by Pennsylvania State Police of a fugitive possibly employed in this jurisdiction. Officers responded to a business on Route 22 and took a 23-year-old Iselin woman into custody. The woman was charged with fugitive of justice and transported to Union County jail.

On Feb. 6, officers responded to the area of Tooker Avenue on a complaint of solicitors. A 30-year-old Bronx man and a 22-year-old Irvington man were issued summonses for soliciting without a permit. A 26-year-old Middletown New York man was also issued for soliciting without a permit and arrested on outstanding warrants out of Harrison and Jersey City.

On Feb. 9, a 26-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Springfield Avenue.

On Feb. 10, a 26-year old Union woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Springfield.

On Feb. 11 a follow-up investigation to an incident from Jan. 13 concluded. Officers had responded to a Morris Avenue business to take a report of a missing wallet. In the investigation by the Detective Bureau a 66-year-old Nutley man was charged with theft of movable property.

Also on Feb. 11, officers were detailed to a Morris Avenue business on a report of a shoplifter. A 42-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged with theft for items stolen on that date. A subsequent investigation resulted in an additional charge of theft for a shoplifting incident at the same location on Feb. 6.

On Feb. 15, a 39-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 22.

Also on Feb. 15, a 37-year-old Linden man was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Springfield and Middleton Township.

On Feb. 16, a 34-year-old Newark woman was arrested and charged with simple assault after officers were detailed to a dispute at a Route 22 business.

On Feb. 17, a 34-year-old Union man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Morris Avenue.

On Feb. 26 a follow-up investigation to an incident from February 15 concluded. Officers responded to a Mountain Avenue business on a report of shoplifting. In the investigation by the Detective Bureau, a 54-year-old Morris Township man was arrested and charged with theft.

And on Feb. 28, a 44-year-old Summit man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a breath test after the vehicle he was operating was observed driving erratically on Hillside Avenue.

Patrol Officers also made two additional arrests on outstanding warrants out of Elizabeth and Newark.
