SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The following is the Springfield Police Department blotter for the second half of the month of December;

December 16 – Officers were dispatched to a verbal dispute between neighbors. A 56-year-old Springfield woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of administration of law, and resisting arrest.

December 17 – Officers were dispatched to a Morris Avenue business on a report of shoplifting. An on-scene investigation resulted in the arrest of two individuals. A 44-year-old West Orange man was charged with theft, and a 31-year-old Newark woman was charged with theft, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and an outstanding warrant out of Newark.

December 18 – A 42-year-old Brooklyn woman was arrested and charged with theft at a Mountain Avenue bank when she attempted to fraudulently cash a check against an account that did not belong to her.

December 20 – A 34-year-old Manville man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after the vehicle he was operating was observed driving erratically on Mountain Avenue.

December 28 – A 27-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, and possession of marijuana as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 22.

Officers made additional arrests on outstanding warrants out of East Orange and Bloomfield.
