SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Two Springfield patrol officers will be moving up in rank after being approved for promotion at last week's township committee meeting.

Ninth Class Patrol Officer Matthew Nolan and Second Class Patrol Officer Robert Quinlan have both met their marks and completed a year of service at their current rank.

On the recommendation of Springfield Police Chief John Cook, Nolan will be promoted to Eighth Class patrol officer, while Quinlan will be promoted to First Class Patrol Officer. Both men had their promotions approved by the committee.

Quinlan's promotion went into effect on Nov. 26, while Nolan's is in effect starting today.
