SPRINGFIELD, NJ - As part of district-wide observance of the Jewish religious holiday, all Springfield Public Schools will be closed this Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1 in honor of Rosh Hashanah.

The holiday, which is the equivalent of Jewish New Year, will be celebrated across those two days. Additionally, School will also be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9 in observance of Yom Kippur, a holiday of fasting and attonement for the past year's misdeeds.
