Springfield's Calendar for Week of September 25: Festival & Car Show and 5k & Fun Run on Sunday

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – This week ends with Springfield Patriot Chamber of Commerce’s Festival & Car Show on Sunday October 1.  The event goes from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the rain date is October 15.  It will be in front of Town Hall.   To being Sunday, there will be a 5k and fun run benefitting veterans from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Dayton Girls Soccer Bounces Back with 6-0 Win over Benedictine Academy

ELIZABETH, NJ – The Jonathan Dayton girls soccer team traveled to Elizabeth Saturday and came away with a convincing 6-0 victory over Benedictine Academy.

The first half was close with the Bulldogs leading 1-0 at its end.  Dayton took control of the game in the second half scoring five goals.

Dayton Boys Soccer Beats Brearley 8-0 and Goes to 5-1-1 on Season

SPRINGFIELD, NJ - After a week since the last game, the Jonathan Dayton Bulldogs returned to field in fine form and overwhelmed David Brearley High School 8-0.  Dayton is now 5-1-1 on the season.

HILLSIDE, NJ – Jonathan Dayton’s girls volleyball team beat Hillside 2-1 Tuesday in a close match, which brought their season record to 3-4.

Springfield’s Calendar for Week of September 18: Rosh Hashanah Starts at Sunset Wednesday

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Rosh Hashanah beings at sunset Wednesday September 20 and ends at nightfall on Friday, September 22.  Springfield schools are closed Thursday and Friday and no athletic events Wednesday through Friday.

SOMERVILLE, NJ - In the Friday Night Lights home game opener for Immaculata, the Spartans suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Summit Hilltoppers by the score of 14-13.
