PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Dayton girls basketball team lost its first road game of the season Tuesday.

Senior Rayana Etienne netted a game-high 18 points with two 3-pointers, three rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead Plainfield to a 52-30 victory over Dayton in Plainfield Tuesday.

Senior J’Lanea Brown added eight points with seven rebounds and sophomore Stephanie Barbosa posted eight points with six rebounds for Plainfield (2-3), which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Senior forward Michelle Bellino scored a team-high nine points and Samantha Casey posted five for Dayton (1-3), which has lost two straight.

The Bulldogs return to action Thursday as they host Linden at 7:00 p.m. and visit Elizabeth Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. tilt. Both games are Union County Conference - Valley Division matchups.
