The National Geological Survey Service is denying any earthquake activity. Could it have been military bombing? Those are often heard in Southern Ocean County. However, the earthquake experience was felt throughout the entire state.

The Ocean County Sheriff at 2:34 p.m. was reporting no earthquake and no bombing practice.
