3rd Annual Autism Awareness Fundraiser Raises $5,000

STAFFORD, NJ – On April 18, Matt Rohrer, a sophomore student in the Southern Regional Autism Program, along with help of his mom and friends, organized the 3rd Annual Autism Awareness fundraiser at Villagio Restaurant in Manahawkin.  The event raised $5,000 which was donated to Piece of the Puzzle, Inc. 

Piece of the Puzzle, Inc is a nonprofit organization that helps Southern Regional High School Autism Program’s pre-vocational and job skills program.   The donation is greatly appreciated and will be used to enhance the program and continue to educate the students in the program.

Kerry Beetel, teacher at Southern’s program and founder of Piece of the Puzzle, Inc expressed his gratitude to Matt, his mom and his friends for their hard work and generous donation.  “Piece of the Puzzle, Inc. would like to express our deepest gratitude for an amazing young man and model citizen, Matt Rohrer, for helping to raise autism awareness and for assisting Piece of the Puzzle, Inc.’s in their vision for a time when all adults with autism can lead rewarding and productive lives in their communities”.
